Miss California Gets to Keep Her Crown

American celebrity news

Carrie Prejean, the reigning Miss California who is said to have been a good quote away from winning the Miss USA title, has been given a reprieve by none other than Donald Trump, and will be allowed to keep her crown after the circus-like antics of the past few weeks.
Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant, met with Prejean today after reviewing photos of the contestant modeling underwear. Trump determined that the photos did not violate the rules of the pageant, and that Prejean would be allowed to continue her reign as Miss California.
Trump praised Prejean for both her beauty, and for standing up to critism in the aftermath of controversial statements made expressing her opposition to same-sex marriage during the Miss USA contest. If her beauty wasn’t so great no one would have cared, he said.
I exercised my freedom of speech and I was punished for doing so, Prejean commented at a press conference. This should not happen in America. It undermines the constitutional rights for which my grandfather fought for.
